RaDengage

Our story: why research paper? why collaboration?

In this post, I want to share a story with you. It is one story of my life and how that lead to the founding of RaDengage. You may take a lesson or two.

When I was a high school student I wanted to study overseas. I didn’t know how to do it but I knew I wanted that. So I worked hard, talked to anyone who could possibly be of any help to me and made many mistakes along the way. Finally, I did it!

I consider myself lucky because I never paid for education in my life, but I managed to get scholarships for my undergrad, master’s, and PhD studies from three different countries on three continents. That is pretty spectacular when I look back because I would have never been able to see the world and afford to study at top universities in the world without help. When I reflect on this I can see how this has changed my life in a way that was beyond my imagination and has grown me in multiple aspects. I feel so lucky and I am so grateful for all the things that I have learned during my journey. I thought it would be a disservice to people and communities out there if I don’t teach others how to do it. I am sure there are many smart students out there, who are working so hard, and for some reason, obstacles, or problems they can’t study where they want and with who they want,  So, I thought to myself, reflecting on the road, what can I do? How can I help? I got to the conclusion that most of my success especially during my higher education came from my ability to do research and collaborate with others to publish. In academia, papers are like currencies and that is how people measure your capital. The more you have, the richer you are. No matter at what stage in your journey you are. So,  that is how RADENGAGE WAS BORN!

At RaDengage, we are building an ecosystem to help higher education students and young researchers from all over the world reach their goals. You can connect with seniors and your peers and go through this journey. You have to walk the road but we will be with you. We welcome students with any socio-economics, gender, or ethnicity to our community. All we need from you is your ambition.

Happy researching,
Mahdi
